Green-tech opened its doors for an Open Day on 8th September 2022 to a mix of customers, suppliers, industry colleagues and friends of the company.
Over 150 people attended the event at Rabbit Hill Business Park where Green-tech’s offices, production warehousing and distribution facility are based.
Visitors were given the opportunity to join a site tour around the office and the extensive warehouse facilities, as well as attend several informative seminars on a range of topics including urban tree planting and a guide to wildflower sowing.
Business Development Director, Mark Wood, also conducted a tour of the soil sites at Rabbit Hill Business Park which gave attendees a significant insight into the operation of the Green-tree Topsoil business.
Several of Green-tech’s key suppliers attended the day showcasing their products and networking with visitors and Green-tech customers. They were a great asset and the company thanks Anchor Systems, Belchim, ICL, Melcourt, Mobilane, Polypipe, Rainbow, Rainbird, Scotbark, Soluform, Tubex for their support.
In addition to seminars and site tours, entertainment was laid on for everyone to enjoy which included a golf course simulator and a Batak Pro game. Lunch was provided in the form of a hog roast and a refreshment cart was offering drinks throughout the day.
Following the closing of the Open Day, Green-tech hosted a gala dinner at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate. A quiz was held which raised over £300 for the company’s charity, The Sick Children’s Trust, making it an enjoyable and worthy end to the day.
Kris Nellist, Managing Director of Green-tech, comments: “The Open Day was a huge success. It was a great opportunity for our customers and suppliers to meet the faces within the business and see the Green-tech operation. It’s an impressive site we have, which we often take for granted so I was delighted to hear such positive feedback from our customers and visitors, many of whom had never been before. I really enjoyed meeting many of our customers for the first time and found it an incredibly worthwhile day and evening.”
