Brits believe a neat and tidy lawn is the biggest benefit of LazyLawn

Brits have proved they’re a nation of garden lovers, after citing a neat and tidy lawn as the most important factor that would influence their decision to have an artificial lawn.

In a recent poll commissioned by the UK’s biggest artificial grass brand, LazyLawn, 73% of British adults viewed having a lawn that always looks neat and tidy as the biggest benefit of installing a synthetic lawn.

Having a low maintenance lawn and one that isn’t affected by adverse weather were also seen to be important, with 65% of the 2,044 adults polled describing both attributes as beneficial, while 60% believe having a lawn that is resistant to damage by animals is important.

Andy Driver, Marketing Director at LazyLawn, comments: “While many of our customers choose a LazyLawn to cut down on the amount of time they spend maintaining their garden, the main feedback we receive from our customers is that they want a garden that looks good all year round.

“This research demonstrates that we really are a nation of garden lovers and while many of us strive to achieve the perfect lawn through mowing and weeding, we often find ourselves without enough time to cultivate the garden we want.

“With so many of us leading busy lives the reality is that we don’t have enough hours in the day to create the garden oasis we would like, but a LazyLawn guarantees you can have a neat and tidy lawn without all the hard work.

“Many people also find themselves struggling to grow a healthy, lush lawn due to the type of soil they have in their garden and how shady it is, but these aren’t a problem for LazyLawn.”

The research, which was carried out by ComRes, found that having a lawn that always looks neat and tidy was more likely to influence women who are considering installing an artificial lawn, with 78% seeing it as an important benefit, compared to 68% of men.

A whopping 77% of those aged 35 to 44 and 45 to 54 see it as the most important benefit of a LazyLawn, compared to 72% of 25 to 34-year-olds and 55 to 64-year-olds, 71% of over 65s and 68% of 18 to 24-year-olds.
