Manufactured in the UK, the DuraPost® Prima Composite Board now features a recycled PVCu core, meaning installers can help their customers to achieve an overall more sustainable fencing solution. Available in lengths of 1.83m and 2.44m, it is compatible with any DuraPost® or concrete fence post installation and due to its lightweight, it is extremely easy to work with and install.
The DuraPost® Prima Composite Board can be used as a gravel board, designed to provide an added level of protection at the base of a fence installation, or stacked to create a sleek and stylish, splinter-free full fence panel. With a tongue and groove connection for complete privacy and safety, the gravel board offers incredible strength over alternative panelling systems for a longer lasting solution. Now manufactured using a recycled PVCu core, the DuraPostÒ Prima Composite Board is made from 70% recycled plastic with a virgin PVCu skin.
John Abernethie, Managing Director at Birkdale, commented: “Our goal is to make sustainable gate and fencing solutions that have low environmental impact, while still delivering the best products. This update to our DuraPostÒ Prima Composite Board is in line with that ambition. Installers can rest assured when selecting Birkdale products that we are an environmentally conscious supplier – providing EPDs for DuraPost® fence posts, composite panels made from rice husks and recycled plastic, and we are a carbon neutral company.”
The DuraPostÒ Prima Composite Board is available in a range of colours including Anthracite Grey, Olive Grey, Sepia Brown and Black, ensuring it can complement any post and panel combination. Furthermore, thanks to its PVCu structure, it is resistant to mould and rot, maintaining its traditional timber-look finish, whilst remaining incredibly low maintenance.
