The Amenity Forum have just completed a series of 13 events held at venues across the UK. These looked at some of the challenges and opportunities for the sector and included presentations on the new sprayer testing requirements and CPD as well as an update on policy issues.Speakers were drawn from BASIS Registration, NSTS and CRD along with John Moverley from the Forum. They were hosted by member organisations and gained support from AEA which made them all possible.
Feedback has been very positive indeed and undoubtedly the format of a half day update works well. Plans are already being made for a series in 2016. Copies of all the presentations are available from the Forum website.
Andrew James, from Manor Estates Groundcare, attended the event at Maidenhead and wrote afterwards saying ‘’ Fantastic day today, It was very informative and I was very impressed with the presentations and discussion’’
Professor John Moverley, Independent Forum Chairman, emphasised the importance of all engaged in our sector to follow best practice and work together to ensure we fully demonstrate to our regulators and others that voluntary measures do work. He was able to report that there are now some 55 organisations within Forum membership and urged more to join.
Also The Forum is holding its annual conference and exhibition on the 15th October at the King Power Stadium Leicester. A draft programme is already available on the Forum website and bookings are being taken with a preferential rate available for bookings received before September 1st.
The full online brochure will be launched very shortly.
