September, 2 pages: Monitor Audio’s four-strong CL speaker line delivers true hi-fi quality sound in every all weather environment and is engineered for enhanced installation ease and versatility. Loaded with driver technology derived from the brand’s globally respected residential speaker ranges, the four CL models will flood wet areas inside and outside the home with clear full range sound, even at high levels.
The range comprises three two-way satellites: the CL50, CL60 and CL80, sized to house 5”, 6” and 8” C-CAM® bass drivers. The fourth CL all-weather monitor is a single stereo 6” driver design, the CL60-T2.
For each CL model, Monitor Audio’s precision engineered C-CAM bass and 1” C-CAM HF drivers are protected by a robust, sealed, UV-rated high density polypropylene enclosure, built to easily withstand the most challenging environments and available in a finely-textured paintable white or black finish. For a precise colour match with surroundings, or for maximum contrast, the CL cabinet can be sprayed in a custom colour. A paint mask is supplied with each speaker. Smart weather-proof aluminium grilles complete the look and also protect the drivers from all weather outcomes.
Mounted at either end of the CL cabinet is a rugged bracket, designed for 175º of horizontal or vertical rotation in small non-slip increments. Magnetic end-caps protect the bracket terminals from weather ingress and speed re-positioning. To extend the choice of firing angles, a supplied installation wedge advances the angle of rotation by a further 15º. (It also features angled sections and screw holes to provide corner fixing.)
The CL range of all-weather speakers may be installed in any combination to provide a wide and even dispersion of full-range sound over large areas. Each cabinet’s low frequency response is augmented by an Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR), which supplies an additional bass punch in open spaces.

WHAT IS C-CAM?
Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium is an innovative material originally developed by the aerospace industry for use as blades in jet engines. It exhibits ideal qualities for use as a driver dome, avoiding the ‘break-up’ or bending modes of more conventional materials. The dome remains rigid and works more like a pure piston comfortably up to 40KHz. Increased efficiency and clarity and reduced distortion result.
