GO GREEN AT THE 2017 JANUARY FURNITURE SHOW

The countdown is on as manufacturers of garden and conservatory furniture take to the spotlight at the January Furniture Show (24-27 January) – the UK’s biggest and most important furniture trade exhibition.

This year’s 2017 event will see even more outdoor furniture and furnishings showcased over five packed halls, including Daro, Cozy Bay Furniture, Kettle Interiors, Acht & Acht GmbH, Blue Poppy Art, The Old Basket Supply Company, Maze Rattan and The Furniture Garden.

With the lead up to the industry’s main exhibition underway, visitors are in for a treat as the 500 plus exhibitors get set to take part in the four-day show at the NEC, Birmingham.

Laraine Janes, event director of the January Furniture Show, said: “We’ve seen a steady increase in demand for garden and conservatory brands – from those who want to exhibit, and from our visitors. And this year is no exception. Our exhibitors are now gearing up to launch their new designs and collections.”

Here’s a taster of what you can expect to see at this year’s show:

The Old Basket Company is one of the UK’s most innovative designers and importers of lifestyle products for homes and gardens, producing everyday accessories with a balance between modern, creative and traditional crafts. It will have many new ranges at the show drawing attention to The Bistro Lounger sets and the Southwold Furniture range.

Established more than 40 years ago, Daro, is the leading name for quality wicker furniture for the home and garden. Its comprehensive ranges now include the exclusive Laura Ashley Rattan Furniture Collection.

Frith Sculpture, displayed by Blue Poppy Art, has produced a number of exclusive new designs including what claims to be the first ever Labradoodle and Cockapoo sculptures, and a charming cat and dog design by Paul Jenkins. Thomas Meadows has extended his best-selling hedgehogs collection from 2016 and produced some new bird designs. More horse sculptures by new artist, Linda Fowler, will be on show as well as Friths’ best seller, its famous hare collection.

With much success since its last January Furniture Show in 2016, Cozy Bay will be showcasing its all-new 2017-2018 Limoge outdoor fabric lounge collection.

The Kettle Group will showcase, for the first time, two of its divisions on one stand: its impressive oak, pine and painted furniture for which the company is famed, will sit alongside home accessories from its sister brand, The Wicker Merchant – a new division that has gone from strength to strength since its launch just 12 months ago. The Wicker Merchant’s collection includes a variety of wicker products from tables and chairs to baskets and dog beds.
