Enjoy warmer nights outside long after summer has gone

We’re always innovating at Collingwood Lighting; whether that’s challenging the boundaries of light, bringing living spaces to life in new and inspiring ways, or ensuring our products are more efficient, longer lasting and easier to install.

To do that means sometimes thinking outside the box – or rather the boxes within which we live. Because as well as being at the cutting edge of interior installations, we are also bringing new levels of warmth, depth, colour and design excellence, to outdoor spaces.

Our new Landscape Lighting range of 2700 Kelvin products makes it possible to experience the cosy warm feeling you get indoors, outside, for the first time.

Collingwood Landscape Lighting is all about creating inviting spaces, and by using the warm white colour temperature of 2700 Kelvin, those warmer nights can continue long after summer is gone.

A bit about colour temperature….

LED technology has now moved on to the extent that many different types of white light can be produced, from warm white to cool white.

The colour temperature of LED lighting can have a dramatic impact on the atmosphere and function of any living or work space and it’s something the Collingwood technical experts have been developing and perfecting for some time.

Most of the Collingwood Lighting range, for example, comes in a choice of 2700K, 3000K and 4000K as standard. At the lower end of the scale, 2700K is our warmest white colour temperature, and thanks to the Landscape Lighting range, this indoor cosiness can now easily be brought outside.

Modern landscaping trends make use of warm materials like sandstone, wood and natural brick, accompanied by architectural planting that has year-round interest, such as trees, grasses, ferns and mosses. The light colour spectrum of 2700 Kelvin is perfect for showing these natural tones and textures in their best light.

Outdoor living and landscaping

Whether it’s a modern restaurant, pub, market square, or simply a back garden, there is so much more consideration in how to optimise outdoor areas. With space often at a premium, especially in large and busy cities, getting the most out of the great outdoors is more important than ever.

More people in the UK can see the benefit of investing in outdoor spaces, viewing it as an extension to indoor living and entertaining spaces which can be used all year round; outdoor kitchens, artificial lawns, covered areas for dining and relaxed seating, are increasingly popular design features in modern exterior landscapes. The Collingwood Landscape Lighting range in 2700K is what turns these areas into functional, inviting and warm environments, even as the nights turn colder.

Landscape range: 2700K additions

The Landscape Lighting range is all about making exteriors feel inviting and interesting, and can now feel even cosier with 2700K warm white light. This colour temperature is available for a variety of different products to easily illuminate any outdoor area, and a combination of these light fittings will help to create a layered lighting design which achieves the same warmth and depth of an interior space.

Products include step lights, spike lights, wall lights, strip lights and ground lights, rotatable pond lights, marker lights and bollards. Simple low glare accessories further increase the flexibility and visual comfort of the spike and wall light ranges, while our new baffled ground lights offer beautiful and truly low-glare lighting, perfect for both outdoor and indoor up-lighting designs.
