Clearstone® resin bound paving proved ideal for Cranford Community College’s Circle of Life garden where innovative design, accessibility and low maintenance were essential.

The school in Hounslow wanted a water-themed space for relaxation and celebration. Their current garden was gloomy and uninviting, clearing fallen leaves and maintaining grass, inconvenient and costly.

Garden designer Wendy Stokes evoked the restorative qualities of water with a swirl of Clearstone’s Aquamarine PrismStone in a surround of warm Sienna natural aggregate and a reflective steel ball.  She chose Clearstone resin bound for paths since it’s wheelchair and buggy friendly, contemporary and ‘keeps looking good for years’.

In addition, Clearstone resin bound is environmentally friendly: rainwater soaks through and returns to the water table, thereby meeting sustainability requirements.

Assistant Head Teacher Alan Fraser is delighted that the stunning new garden with its resin bound paving is useable all year round, stands up to extreme weather, doesn’t puddle and requires only a powerwash and brush to maintain.

‘The Clearstone team was very quick laying the surface and worked long hours to get it all finished for the opening ceremony,’ says Alan.

Backed by a 10-year guarantee, Clearstone is a product and a company you can trust.
